    ACR Launches Mammo Education Campaign

    AuntMinnie

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has launched a campaign devoted to helping women determine when and how often they should receive mammograms, the Reston, VA-based organization said. Mammography Saves Lives is a collaboration between the ACR, the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI), and the American Society of Breast Disease (ASBD). The campaign features a series of TV and radio public service announcements highlighting breast cancer survivors who were diagnosed in their 40s with the aid of mammography, and who urge women to begin getting annual mammograms at age 40.
